MEDBH McGUCKIAN was born in 1950 Belfast where she lives with her family. Among the prizes she has won are The Alice Hunt Bartlett Prize, and the Bass Ireland Award for Literature 1991. She is the author of Venus and the Rain (1984), On Ballycastel Beach (1988), Marconi's Cottage (Gallery, 1991), Captain Lavender (1995), and Selected Poems: 1978-1994 (1997). |
