POET In the shape of ancient play He dreams trails for the people In the radiance of the rainbow He calls dreams for the bird He eavesdrops on the messages of the plants It continues all of the year Captured in childhood He points the future He forgives to the water and sun. On his palm he stirs up the fireplace. Ristovich graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics in Yugoslavia and has taught
Mathematics in High School for ten years. His poetry has appeared in many well-established
newspapers in Yugoslavia. Mile Ristovich received first place out of 315 poets in the 13th
Yugoslav poetry review Vukovi Lastari 1986. The review was held in
Trsic-Loznica,Yugoslavia. Ristovich's poems have appeared in several American anthologies,
including Windows of the World, In a Different Light, and Awaken
